My copy is on it's way and it looks like a decent game. Anyone else got it yet, any opinions?

Sounds like a real hardware hog but a game designed for the PC as the main platform, which is nice.

got it running on max settings on a 5850 graphics card i920 system (1920×1080)

its a brilliant game. Word to the wise my m8 has a 4870 and at 1280* 1024 he struggles with fps with everything maxed notched his AA down a bit and it was perfectly fine again.

uses around 2.3gb of memory and avrs around 40% of the cpu

football manager users more cpu and memory so i wouldnt call it a resource hog

Alot of the reviews comment on the poor combat and AI. Especially the latter seems to completely destroy immersion. It looks really nice but with so many good games these days I think I'll wait when it goes on sale.

Remember it was made by the guys who did the original stalker, so expect community mods to make it intense, immersive and full of adjectives beginning with i.

I've got it running at 1680x1050 on a GTX 275, Core i7 860 system with 4gig of DDR3 ram and it runs smoothly

Review on Wednesday, I think. But I have to say I'm underwhelmed, tbh.

It started off well but it's entering mediocrity. So far playable and very immersive but the difficulty level leaves somewhat to be desired; mainly because it's unintuitive.

I enjoy it, mostly because it has all those hilarious quarks that make the stalker series fun.

To be fair, there's barely anywhere TO move. I maintain that it's not the AI which is crap, but really thoughtless level design.

I finished this game over the weekend. Atmospheric and frustrating in equal measure but I'm glad I played it.
