Windows Do you invert your mice?

Some people like it flipped, some don't. A friend and I both like to FPS on the PC, but we differ right off the bat (apart from the fact I can kick his a%*), the first thing he does is invert his mouse so that up is down and down is up, it confuses the hell outta me, I'm unable to play with an inverted mouse.

How many others suffer this inveration affliction?

Do you invert for all games, or just some?

FPS on Console inverted

I know that may seem odd but on consoles i find it easier with it inverted as its thumb sticks whereas on the PC the mouse directly responds to the cursor.

Am i weird?

 

Used to play inverted on both. Then stopped inverting on the PC. Then a bit later stopped on consoles as well. Obviously for flight sims etc. I still play inverted.

 

No, I invert on consoles too.

It's easier to get used to the other way around on consoles as well.

I always found it impossible to go from playing with my non-inverted mouse to using an inverted console pad with thumbsticks, this was how my friends played and I always had to ask to have it changed before we started. The only game type I find i'm able to play with inverted thumb sticks no problems is flight sims.

 

I still don't get why the UAV isn't controlled like any other helicopter, or at least use the same mouse controls/invertion. Oh well, it's just a crutch

Same here. It's been that way since my N64 days Not weird at all, it's totally normal. Most gamers I know who play on both platforms do it this way.

 

Only inverted on a flightsim (and then i use a joystick anyway)

Can't stand inverted controls on anything else, but as long as the option is changeable it's ok (ie unlike the fixed inverted controls on google street view that drive me bonkers)

 

Never, except on flight-sims. Why folks do I don't know, I can almost understand it on console pads but on a moused PC? Nah.

 

Me too I cannot even begin to use a controller that's not inverted but would never think of inverting a mouse. Weird how the mind works...

Always inverted on everything. I'm too old to retrain, having started inverted mouse play with Alien Breed 3d on my Amiga.
