    Pencil me in for 11 minimum.

    Guesstimating at around 5-7 for average, though. May seem a bit high for anyone who's followed by posts about Fermi, but I don't doubt they'll be fast... just not worth it for anything but benchmarks :)

    just did a 2560x1600 test on my 24inch monitor, i guess Crysis renders at full resolution and then displays at maximum available to your monitor.

    Code:
    ==============================================================
    TimeDemo Play Started , (Total Frames: 2000, Recorded Time: 111.86s)
    !TimeDemo Run 0 Finished.
        Play Time: 83.32s, Average FPS: 24.00
        Min FPS: 16.35 at frame 138, Max FPS: 28.37 at frame 1011
        Average Tri/Sec: -4370225, Tri/Frame: -182062
        Recorded/Played Tris ratio: -5.03
    !TimeDemo Run 1 Finished.
        Play Time: 80.00s, Average FPS: 25.00
        Min FPS: 16.35 at frame 138, Max FPS: 28.86 at frame 992
        Average Tri/Sec: -4226351, Tri/Frame: -169045
        Recorded/Played Tris ratio: -5.42
    !TimeDemo Run 2 Finished.
        Play Time: 79.84s, Average FPS: 25.05
        Min FPS: 16.35 at frame 138, Max FPS: 28.86 at frame 992
        Average Tri/Sec: -4190987, Tri/Frame: -167301
        Recorded/Played Tris ratio: -5.48
    !TimeDemo Run 3 Finished.
        Play Time: 79.77s, Average FPS: 25.07
        Min FPS: 16.35 at frame 138, Max FPS: 29.09 at frame 1001
        Average Tri/Sec: -4241286, Tri/Frame: -169157
        Recorded/Played Tris ratio: -5.42
    TimeDemo Play Ended, (4 Runs Performed)
    ==============================================================

    for reference, 5870 gives around 16 minimal FPS, if gtx480 gives 8 more FPS than 5870, that would mean it's producing 50% more performance at 24 FPS.........

    seems a bit far stretched because only 10 to 20% increase is expected, perhaps 30% for Crysis.

    I'd say +7, it's a bit pessimistic, but hey.

    Although on optimized games...probably +15

    On unoptimized, about +5.

    Avg: +8.

    i don't remember there being any prize for the Fermi transistor count, so no, not from me, sorry. although perhaps a digi-cookie.

    or Krikkit may add a few rep points to you, if you be nice to him :)

    at least 12fps faster

    @personaboveme - how many transistors does it have? Im thinking a crapload since radeons have like 2 billion and are fairly small chips....so Fermi has like....a trillion?

    3.2 billion transistors apparently.

    a hd5870 has around 2.1 billion
