Got this email from MSI today. http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=136806.0 How is that legal? This is ridiculous.
RTFM = Read The ****ing Manual. A little scaremongering to make people check the basics before bothering them perhaps?
maybe, but sending this to every registered user on MSI's forum as an official email from MSI makes me question if it legit or not. i do know what RTFM means though. not sure about this. hope its not real.
Agreed. An announcement on their website this time next week would have been far better, in my opinion.
Lol, I can see this backfiring on them. As some people can't take a joke and wont buy msi after this.
Thread's already been deleted, would have been alot funnier had it actually come out on April fools. Ah well made me laugh anyways
It's still very unprofessional of them. Especially since that one admin guy was being a jerk to all the members in that thread.
I got that emailed to me I dont have any MSI stuff , A april fools in march doesn't that mean they are the fools? lol.
I love stuff like this because it reminds me that there are some humorous, thinking people in positions of responsibility. I hate stuff like this because it brings to light how many stupid, stupid, brain-dead people there are everywhere else. edit - I'm buying MSI from now on
Agreed - MSI for me too now! I think the sketchy language and grammar pretty much gave it away in an instance to me - can't believe anyone thought that was for real! Good on them, made me laugh.
Quite unprofessional of MSI. It's not even April 1st I lol'd, but lots of anal people lacking a sense of humour wouldn't have I suspect. I get RTFM jobs all the time so if it had been legit I'd probably have understood where MSI were coming from For any of you who are new to Halo 3 or any other Bungie game this April, make sure you're online and playing your Bungie game on the 1st of April because Bungie do some of the best April Fools jokes I've ever seen.
This. That email is 100% stupid. If they posted it on April fools then fair enough, but it's MARCH. MSI, never, ever have a go or play at having a go at your own customer base. It's the #1 rule. For customers who don't know the first thing about their new PC - let alone experiencing other online jokes - they rely on friendly tech support. It's like MSI shooting themselves in the foot. It's news worthy tbh - talladega thanks for the heads up, I'll be commenting on it tomorrow.
