Long overdue log of my build.
Originally started out as a bunch of parts in a cardboard box.

Built around a Asus Rampage 2 Extreme.

    Intel i7 920

Intel P4-478 compared to the i7-1366

    Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D PC3-12800 6GB Kit

In my hurry to get everything working, I put it all into a cardboard box.
Enermax 350 Watt PSU, with an added 20 to 24 adapter thingy
MSI HD4780 512 mb OC Edition with stock cooler.
Hard disk is Western Digital 250GB SATA.

Was getting a bit hot in there, so I added some blow holes with 120 mm fans.
CPU temps went down from 57C to 45C on idle.

Right everything works, time for water cooling.

MSI HD4780 OC now naked, lacking the before pictures, since I was so excite in stripping it down.
    Bought it somewhere in Taipei.

    EK-FC4870 CF - Acetal
Removed and installed a EK waterblock, fits. The card is reference design..phew.
I think I bought the blocks from SpecialTech.

    EK-FB RE2 - Acetal
    and
    EK-Mosfet ASUS X58 KIT - Acetal

    CPU Waterblock is a EK-Supreme - Acetal

The blocks mounted on to the motherboard, in my excitement to fit these items, forgot to take bare motherboard pictures. A bit dissapointed that the chipset block doesnt cover the small voltage thingy board, which the version two does now.

State of PC in March 2009

It now has an OCZ 1000 Watts PSU bougt off ebay, smells of ciggys.

Case is a Lian Li PC-A77B Aluminium Case Black, from Kustom PCs, amazing service.

This would be the HW Labs GTX 360 off ebay. The cover I think is also the HW Labs honeycombe cover.
As you can see its not mounted onto the case in the pictures, the case was off for CNC cutting or someting like that, work also carried out by Kustom PCs.

More updated pictures to follow when I am back from my trip to Taipei, Taiwan.

It can be picked up, originally this project log.

I decided to write it up properly, as I will be making some changes again..
hmmm...will the mods merge my threads or leave it as it is? The box now contains another motherboard and cpu.

EK Chipset cooler didnt not include the powerboard cooler.
So I had to add my own, Akasa thermal tape and some Thermal Take ram coolers.

Six hard drive, as much as the motherboard will take without another add on controller.

OCZ 1000 Watt PSU off ebay, smells like cigarettes, but its gone now.

    Finished CNC Top

    Lian Li Buttons

Finish case, yeah I know silver fan controller, black one would have been better, but I dont have one right now, maybe in the future.

Also the floor got an upgrade from tatty old brown carpet to very cheap Wicks laminate floor board, got to add, its actually quite good, it pops together much better than the B&Q budget floor boarding. I could have sanded the floorboards there are there, but hiring the machine would have cost the same as a floorboards. I tried with a handheld sander, fail.

    Things on my TODO:
    Add a SSD.
Replace reservoir for a larger one.
Replace EK Chipset cooler for EK version 2.
Add water cooling another loop just for CPU.
Replace 4870 with a 5870 for triple head stuff.
3 x 24 inch screens to work with the above.
Find some money to pay for the above changes. :D
