Nice! Old pump stations for the mines? What would have powered the pumps?

I suppose I should add Cornwall to the list of places to visit, my great grandparents came from there.

Crowns Engine Houses at Botallack. They would have housed steam powered beam engines to pump water out of shafts that ran out under the sea. There were quite a few other ruins there, including the arsenic works and the tin dressing floors.

Such a lovely blue sky. How do you get it? Filter or something else?

Looks like he used PP to over saturate the whole pic. Looks good though. The sea draws you in.

    Thanks :D

I used a gradual filter in photoshop raw stopping the sky down a bit and upping the saturation of the sky and the sea, then just some levels tweaks and a touch more vibrance which is just even more saturation really?

But you'd need some blue in the sky even to oversaturate it, right? I just get washed out white when I shoot the sky, which is a shame because when the weather's clear, we have beautiful blue skies here. :(

I shot the picture in landscape profile on the camera as well which i guess will help, but i'm only working with what blue was there, stopping the sky back will of helped too i think, here is the off camera jpeg if it helps at all
The Settings in importing the raw:
    Exposure +0.45
    Brightness +3
    Contrast +50
Then the filter is top to bottom with settings
    Exposure -0.55
    Contrast +27
    saturation +37
    Clarity +100

and that pretty much gives what i origionaly posted, hope it helps
