Oh boy, an mnpc mod! This is going to be good *popcorn* Never seen that case before, but it's a looker...
I love the raised pattern, that is seriously sexy and the fronts just wicked ..If some one ever invents metal work porn this mod will be look upon like Jenna Jamerson.....A right dirty bitch, just the way I like em
Looks like that NZXT case is a great blank canvas. I really like what you have done so far Bill, the side panel and the front bezel looks amazing. I think you should definitely consider a black and electric blue colour scheme to match the box art for this one.
Thank you for tuning in gang! I'm picking out paint colors with Brad atm. I should have some spray out samples posted before the weekend. I'm very excited for what I've got planned for the exterior finish. Now you're talking bulldogjeff! btw: there is no "r" in Jenna's last name... it's Jameson
Sorry, been very busy everybody...but here is a couple updates... Color spray out samples. Silver Aluminum, House of Kolor's Kandy paints, the colors are Teal, Colbalt Blue and Oriental Blue ... Brad ran out of the SHIMRIN basecoat for Kandy paint, so we used basic Silver just for making samples. The actual paint job will have SHIMRIN base coat, so the final finish be much more vibrant.. Not sure if I will use Teal yet... The fragments in the fractal design will be painted Colbalt Blue and Oriental Blue Kandy. ..and lastly the Corsair H50 "Hydro" cpu cooler showed up. It includes brackets for these sockets, LGA775, LGA1366, LGA1156, AM2/AM3. For the Adamas cramped space, this self contained water cooler should be a great solution. I really like that Cobalt Blue, I think it matches the box art perfectly, as does the Oriental Blue. The H-50 is a prefect choice, the best performing self contained watercooling system to date.
Yeah I haven't really checked up on any rewievs on MB's with the Hydra, but it sure looks good Great work bill, the front + side panel already looks awsome
Thanks for the feedback guys! The H50 looks to be a nice unit, $69.99 is decent price too. Yesterday I made time to start prepping the background of the side panel design for paint. I cut sheets of Red Scotch-Brite pads by 3M various size pieces for getting into the small crevices. These pads work great for de-burring and polishing metal surfaces. You can use them on metals, woods, plastics, composites. I use them for prepping factory paint finishes for primer coats as well. For the bare aluminum, apply a self-etching primer base coat before the color coat. This allows for maximum adhesion to the bare metal surface. The color coat will be Silver Aluminum. This will be applied to the background of the panel to cover up the fine swirl marks. Scotch-Brite General Purpose 3M Scotch-brite Pads
I want this case... The front and sides are just going to make this completely different! Great work!
