I've seen people walking into the polling station in their dressing gown before now... granted they did live over the road, but still!
Yeah, lots of people seem to have strong views, but I wondered how many people actually go out and vote for what they want.
14 days, 14 days too young dammit Stewb hopes for a hung parliament and swift collapse with another general election
I wasn't going to vote, but since some people I know are voting Labour based on facts like 'the last Conservatives made my mortgage go up' or 'labour is best for poor people', I am going to have to. We don't want any more ***** like Jaqui Smith getting into positions of power.
I'll be on my way to vote when my father gets back to vote. I'n going to be glued to the TV tonight! Going to be an interesting 24 hours to say the least! I will be very interested in the actual turn out for voting as there are many more factors for people to vote and not vote at the same time this general election!
They opened my polling station 15mins early, so I got there for 7am and got both votes done, for council and Government. You can tell it's a big election, they let people keep the polling cards as souvenirs Re whether people vote for what they want, above [EDIT] will answer in the other thread.
Voted this morning, luckily my uni college registered me there, as I had forgotten to set up postal voting for home.
Postal vote here, sent it off last Saturday. Shouldn't make a difference in my consituency, but only time will tell....
QFT, went in at the weekend. 0.064 voting weight but I can still hope that it changes the constituency slightly.
