Please don't laugh. It sucks for everything but still renders and layout. I've loaded 20 meg textures into it and it hardly blinks.

If SU had the arrow key movement feature setup like that, 90% of the sh*t I can't stand about it would be gone. Has anyone else tried to move an object, only to have it jump up in your face and fill the screen, saying, "Hi, is this bugging you? LALALALA!"? The snap on SU is a turd. Why does it snap to the viewer?

 

lol I used to use bryce years ago for landscape building in some old renders Yeah I HATE the zoom to your eyeballs thing in SU especially when it appears to snap to a node then BAM!

Made this back in 2006 didn't realise it was that long ago!

 

It has it's uses.

-Well f*ckingf*ck! SU must be programmed by Microsquish now. The last update DISABLED the import to .DXF function. Since when is a step backward an UPGRADE?
I could kill them right now...

 

Its in sketchup PRO isnt it? not sure if thats what you're using or not.

You can download a SUPro trial from there site, and try it?

Haven't started - stuck in the middle of moving! My rig is in a container being stored until the house we are moving into (supposed to ready yesterday) is read. Current estimate is Saturday. We're in a motel until then.

As for renders... Everything's ready but the mobo still...

 

Have you tried skindigo cheaps? even the free version gives some pretty nice results it handled my behemoth of a design quite well and it means there's no exporting

Don't mind sending you one of my renders if you fancy seeing what they come out like for lighting etc.

 

Voted for cheaps, i think editors awesome aswell, but if u ever tried to get a single curve in sketchup u know what cheapskate has achived
