For anyone who's interested, which I'm not guessing is many of you, Portal runs fine on Medium settings at native resolution - however, make sure VSync or whatever is enables because otherwise the tearing is unbearable (a problem I've literally never experienced before).

Finally, something GOOD to play during boring lectures!

Bought Quantz yesterday. Can be addictive. Downloaded the demo of Tropico haven't tried it yet.

Just out of curiosity, how much did portal cost in the first place? just completed the story and the first advanced map and i have to say, i absolutely love this game. The sheer simplicity of it and the way it makes you think about how to solve the puzzles is something i have not seen since Prince of Persia (can't believe they've made a new one to go with the film, it's gonna be **** :(). Besides the fact that this game is probably gonna get lots more rep due to it being the best game available for the mac right now, i just can't believe i didn't come across it before.

A terrific game. end of story.

It was released with the Orange Box, so £17. Even that was insanely good value given the quality of games you got with it.

I have an ATI HD 2600 Pro (AGP 512MB) with a 1080p monitor. Any idea where I configure the VSync settings (in-game or CCC). The tearing is terrible.

Thanks, I looked there before, but was expecting a check box for the option and not a drop down list, which is why I never saw it the first time round.

    Space Siege, 75% OFF, £3.75
    Stormrise, 75% OFF, £3.75
    Universe At War:Earth Assault, 75% OFF, £3.75

All 3 of above pack price £11.24 ... a grand saving on top of the 75% OFF of £0.01 !!!

I'm not sure that is the official Twitter feed. But also it hasn't been updated in 2 days which means anyone relying on it would have missed ALL of the Sega deals :waah:

Wasn't Universe at War meant to be shockingly bad?

Sega doesn't have any games worth buying on the pc, well other than strategy games which I like, but have too many of them to buy any I haven't heard wonderful reviews about. If only bayoneta was on pc, and i'm still hoping that sonic 4 is announced for PC (wii, xbox and ps3 only from what i've read).

Bought Universe at war for £1 in Tesco last year. I found it to be okay, although it did keep crashing on my system. And it uses live for Windows (which will be enough to put most people off)

I'm not much of an RTS player - I had a look through the complete pack and couldn't see a single game I'd pay for. Shame :grr:

Space siege is a very poor relation to Dungeon Siege 1 & 2.

One of the worst Steam purchases I have done. :(
