Case Mod - In Progress Antec P183 Black/White theme - july 6, new pics, almost finished

hi all, decided my case could use a mod.... i decided to make it black/white themed since i love that combi
this is my first mod i've done so don't go hard on me

that's when the can was empty

(sorry about the bad quality, my camera died ( says batt's are empty while i put in new ones..) so right now pics will be taken with my phone, i'll get a new camera this week most likely)

i got myself a new can today so i'm trying to finish it today,

i know, for some reason it's hanging down on pics but in real it aint that bad at all :S
it's most likely due to the musashi being bend,but that's bent back already so it's straight
maybe once day i'll have enough money to get something different than a 8800GTX

 

what i did today:
painted the pci brackets + the 1 that's suposed to be on my graficscard
(as an electrician you always have something laying around to use... like this brown 2.5mm wire ( which now is lovely white)


gave my case+ the harddrive cover a clear coat today:




think i'll leave out the " slide in plates" for the top harddisk bay since i don't use it.. and maybe if i'll ever have enough money for watercooling i could put a pump there or something... who knows


tomorrow the 2 fans Fractal Design sponsors me with will hopefully arrive tomorrow

i still have to paint 4 of my other fans then but that'll be ok


i am thinking of making the I/O shieldplate black on the inside and white on the outside.. or should i make it fully white?
what do you people think?

I too have the P183, you think the GPU could be being bent by the PSU power plugs being too tight?

 

Black and white, classic look so clean, nice case to mod too

 

it kinda looks really getting pulled down but mostly that was due to the musashi being bend at the back side so it really doesn't look straight



ordered some black and white sleeves + heatshrink from MDPC-x today

i'm making the big brother lol, i always liked the combination of black+white, just didn't have much time or money for it till now

i was wanting to make my own sata power cables so it'd improve the looks+ airflow better than i had , but the crimping tool is like €36+€10 for shipping at MDPC, which currently is too expensive for me (poor me) and i couldn't find a cheaper model of the thing..... oh well, i guess that can wait..

 

was gonna paint some more parts+ give some pieces a clear coat.. but on my way home from college sports it started to rain

i also had some parts still laying outside :O!! but thank god nothing happend to them and the paint was still lovely

since i was at college/sports today i missed the package from Fractal Design,on the note it says they'll try again tomorrow.. i hope they do it before 12 cause i start at 12:30..

overclocked my cpu to 3.0 today(stock = 2.3)

 

If you are painting the entire chassis black: white inside/outside i/o shield

If you are painting the chassis outside-white, inside-black: then reverse the colors of the i/o

I think you should paint it to match the PCI brackets. I painted the inside and back of my HAF "Sail Blue" and I made my I/O and PCI brackets black to contrast the color scheme.

Lovin the scheme also, sub'd!

 

yeah i think the i/o shield fully white will look to best
so i'll stick with that

2nd day i missed the package from fractal design, so now i have to pick it up somewhere else >.>

takes 30 mins to get there and costs €10 to get there and back home again... sigh

 

Well I don't know how gas is in The Netherlands but here in FL, USA it's 3.50$/2.83 euros a gallon.

USA is cheap with that... but uhm... i don't have my driver license yet, so i have to go with the train...

 

I've been there. I just got my license recently after bribing my parents by saying that I would do whatever they want in terms of errands and going to the supermarket. What a horrendous idea that was...

ok, so there is a chance i can travel by train with my mate with a discount
my OV-chipcard ( public transport card) isn't working yet ( as a student you can travel for free with it and up to 4 people can travel with you with a discount of 40%) and since my mate's does work.. i asked him if he could go with me so it'd cost me only €6 instead of €10... hey every € counts to me
