    So this just happened on PC Gamers twitter:
    "Valve have re-affirmed that their E3 surprise is "PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD'S SAKE" in a press release. Also, no Portal 2 till next year."

    oh and Portal 2 is delayed till next year apparently.. haha.. this is funny.

    I have been waiting for Black Mesa for years too. that should have thought me all about patience

    Well spotted alastor. I've managed to find a better res pic (here), i've done a quick bodge edit and it lines up pretty well.

    I still say this is a Source2 engine announcement.
    With Portal 2 and DNF as Source2 games - thus keeping the announcement "PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD'S SAKE"

    and i base this on... absolutely nothing

    Maybe Steam has jumped in there for a bit of 3 way action with Take-Two and 3D Realms. Part of the out of court settlement might have included sorting a deal with Steam for digital distribution.

    Hopefully that will include Duke Nukem 3D on Steam with multiplayer support :D

    According to wikipedia,
    There has also been speculation about the possibility that another development team might have taken over DNF, since 3DRealms closed its doors.

    There's no news as to whether DNF will still be released, whether TT are still publishing, etc. Given the original dispute between 3DR and TT, there was dispute about that from the beginning.

    I suppose that's where some things could come in:
    EA - co-publisher
    TT - Co-Publisher
    3DR - Trademark owner, co-developer
    Valve - Co- Developer
    Steam - Digital distribution.
