Watched Moon the other day, it's up there with my favourites. Honestly cannot decide though.

About Moon though, so damn good!

Have to agree with you there. I'm just glad to see intelligent Sci-fi around again.

Still wouldn't put it as my ultimate favourite. It's a difficult choice between Moon, Requiem for a Dream, Idiocracy, K PAX, The Shining, Reservoir Dogs, Shallow Grave, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Children of Men, Mars Attacks, Total Recall, Bladerunner, Lock Stock, Twelve Monkeys, Brazil, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... or Alien (Absolutely love the self destruct sequence. SQUEE!)

Gives me a lot of choice though :)

    Easy

I love all types of movies, and my top 5 changes depending on the day, time, and mood, BUT one movie gets me every time...

    2001: A Space Odyssey

When Hal responds to dave after the long silence, I get chills every time. And the star child makes me very happy at the end!:D

For all I care, they can go play in traffic :D
I know people called Sean, Shean (no joke), Shaun and Shawn. And they all pronounce their name the same way. Pick your poison.
But yes, I mean Shaun of the Dead. Thanks for the correction. :D

Heat was cool, I watched Independence day something like 15 times, I watched Top Gun even more times than that. I watched Team America 12 Times by now, Jay and Silent Bob strike back 5 times, etc.

Goes to show. Some movies are grat fun, in spite of never making it into a fave list.

As far as number of watches goes - Goodfellas must be up on 20 times. Heat would be at least 15. The Kingdom at least 10. Collateral well over 20 as well as Miami Vice! Can you tell I'm a Michale Mann fan yet? :p

Two things I still feel need mentioning:
    1) My favourite movies are not alwasy GOOD movies (see Planet Terror for complete B-Grade Cheese). Equally, I like (and a lot of people i think would agree here) movies that ENTERTAIN me, not necessarily good movies.
    2) This thread is really missing something from it's title. It should be "Yout Favourite fils of all time... of all time" or "The Best films of all time... of all time"

No it should be Your favourite film of all time.... OF ALL TIME.

I <3 internet memes. I can't say "of all time" without thinking of K-West.

Yup... It's like the line from Aliens: "they mostly come out at night... mostly"

When I remember I did a degree in filmmaking... Yojimbo.

If I've had a drink and am being honest... Wayne's World.

    Raiders of the Lost Ark

The freeway scene in The Kingdom was actually filmed about 5 minutes from my house. Apparently Arizona and Saudi Arabia look very similar.
