Hi johnim40... The "Folder of the Month" is announced in the little flyout each month. The full page each month is a previous folder of the month (or in issue 083 the chimps challenge). For example in issue 084 the folder of the month is ricardorojw13 and the "previous" folder of the month is johnim...

johnim40, as you were featured as a previous folder in the mag (issue 084) but never featured as the "folder of the month" I have added you to the list in issue 084 as "featured in mag". Hope this is ok with you?

What's the chance of getting profiled even if I've been folder of the month before, as they didn't do it back then?

Just restarted folding after a failed attempt with a low powered PC and a laptop.

    Currently have F@H running on three Xeon X3430 servers (4-5K PPD each) , 1 X6 1090T @ 3.8GHz (6-7K PPD), 1 GTX 460 @ 1830MHz shader clock (12K PPD), and one lowly X5200+ running the standard client (200 PPD).

I seem to be doing much better now, although not sure how much longer I can keep the 1090 / 460 combo running as it is my daily driver and it is in the bedroom, so the constant wine from the GPU is highly annoying! The three servers can sit there chunking away as they are under very little load on a daily basis, only when backups or any websites are being tested do they feel a hit. The old AMD is my VMWare test machine so most of the time it is sat doing nothing, so that will always be running.

I did also have my homegroup server (AMD 255) running the standard client but it kept crashing and was too important to risk being down, so that is now not running. Although this was only putting out around 200-300 PPD so not a massive help.

Otherwise I am enjoying monitoring the scoreboards daily...

This folder of the month thing, do you have to apply for consideration or is by invitation only ... just curious.

It's normally been by invitation .... but seen as you've been in the Top 20 producers for a while, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you gave them a nudge ;)

I'm sure you've had your name in the mag asking you to get in touch.
