The fuel pumps can't handle it mate. It's quite an old engine design, and I know people who've tried it and gotten about 220bhp, but the pump dies fairly quickly afterwards. That's a good 3 grand's worth of work all in, and it runs fine and does 40 mpg so I'm just going to keep it regularly serviced and hope it stays that way.

More money to spend on my new PC...:D

    I wouldn't "lol" if I were you...

Just today some old senile idiot deliberately sprayed water into my car as I drove by because he thought I was driving too fast (I was accelerating and shifted a little high but I definitely wasn't going fast). I bet he didn't expect me to turn around and get to his face to tell him how much of a fcking asshole he was... I mean, the old fart was shirtless and was WASHING HIS DRIVEWAY 10 minutes before a storm (dark clouds were coming and we got heavy rain for like 2 hours)

I hate when old people think they can do and say whatever the hell they want just because they're older.

2.0 JTDM...around 170bhp I think. Bit of turbo lag but it flies once it gets going.

Cool. I'm guessing you still get 45-50mpg too?

Aye, well I was averaging 40-45 on the drive back from edinburgh including maybe 20 minutes of stop-start city driving. I wasn't hanging around on the motorway either :)

Elegant. No other word for it. Shame about the depreciation, but if you plan on keeping, it, fantastic choice.... not a sensible choice... but sensible choices are boring :)

Please don't tell me you drive around with the front fogs on!

Alfas are never sensible :D My dad has reached 65 without ever owning one, I persuaded him eventually (we're sharing it).

    Oh my god.
It has a button that dims all the interior dash lights apart from the speedo. I feel like a fighter pilot.

I'm a big fan of the quick-estate bunch - that Alfa is drop dead stunning in white though - excellent choice!

    Alfa: Stunning.
They make you feel special just by sitting in them.
Who cares that the 147s we have here all get synchro mesh problems.
Who cares that the little cubby hole on the driver's side in the MiTo will open every time you close the door.

I drive a fiat because it's cheaper than the 147s. I want a MiTo Quadrofoglio
