    Introducing...My Desk!
I got my stipend for this semester and decided I needed a nicer setup than what I previously had. So, I bought myself two Dell SP2309W's, a Sony HTC100 sound system (sound bar and base), 2 monitor stands(you'll see the other in a second), and a WD Elements 1tb HDD for backup. I also bought a G110 as my tiny keyboard wasn't cutting it. Also sitting on my desk are my Logitech G3 and Zune HD.

Whats that light behind there? Why, it's part of the Ikea Dioder set! These nifty LED bars can flash, fade, or stay one color out of the 7 different colors.

    Red!

    Blue!

    White!

Now, what of the other monitor stand? Why, I didn't want to get rid of my other 23" monitor so I put it to use for my second computer/360! It is secured to the end of my bed.

What do you have providing the ambient light behind the monitor? It looks like it is matching the ambient light to the screens. Is that some automatic thing, or did you just set it to that color to take pictures?

Thanks! It works well. Since it actually swivels downwards and every which way I want to try laying down and have the monitor hover over my face. I'm sure it would kill my eyes being that close so I'd only try it once.

Ikea Dioder set. I changed the color to the background, it comes with a little switch I have placed down by my foot so all I have to do is press it to change it.
I'm sure if someone wanted to do the programming/modding they could actually make it change color to match the background.

That would be easily achievable with a little thoughtful circuit design and programming. I've actually been trying to find time to finish a multicoloured downlighter bar (composed of RGB LEDs) that runs along the front of my desk, shining coloured light down onto the floor and my knees. At the moment it's manually switched with a prototype circuit, but I'd like to incorporate this sort of programming into it in the future.

Exactly the same concept. I have it shining light below my desk as mood lighitng, but I have played on a system with Phillips AmbX lighting at an iSeries demo before. It's amazing how much it actually adds to your gaming experience, although it can be a very expensive system depending on what exactly you choose to buy.

Philips amBX kit can very easily be set up to match any colour. I set mine up to match my desktop background (as this extremely bad picture shows) and it takes seconds to do plus it's great in-game.

Well this is what it looks like at the moment, just got my new server and screen, so I'm still figuring out where the hell I'm going to put it.
