Films - That get you bawling like a little kid...

If you didn't cry after the first ten minutes of Up, you're not human.

 

The first few minutes of Up were incredible. The rest was decent but certainly not up (see what I did there?) to Pixar's standard

As has been widely reported, Toy Story 3 gets quite emotional.

I will put my hand up and say I did have tears in my eye (full on, not just "ah, I have something in my eye..."), and I'm thankful for those god-awful 3D glasses for shielding the fact from everyone else in the cinema...

Mind you, I think everyone was feeling the same at the end,

Top film though.

 

I think for me it's more of the overall mood/feel than the movie. Like once I felt shitty already before starting the movie, watched "I am legend" and was weeping for the teeny tiny German shepherd. We had two of those lovely creatures when I was a kid and right then I missed them like mad (other than the dog the film had no impact whatsoever)

Also I do think I might be too socially limited, cynical and just your generic asshat to fall into the most cliché movie endings/drama.

 

Last movie i can remember making me shed a tear was at the end of the road.
I think i was just emotional that night though more than the movie actually being real sad.


Usually it just annoys me that they try milk emotion out the end of movies. sometimes they try too hard.

 

Love Happens

I never planned on watching it, total chick flick, only got it for the mrs, but I was a little bored and watched it
Marley and Me, Up and Toy Story 3 have all only made me well up at most, they were all very mild compared to Love Happens

 

Dude you're into the hard stuff now, theres no turning back from a below-average romance-drama which even features Aniston. Before you know you'll be all over Notting Hill.

You must instantly stop watching chick films. It's doctors order.

 

The end of 'Man on fire' when Denzel (sp) Washington's character finally succumbs to his injuries and slips away... that had tears rolling down my face; the music is so sad yet awesome you just cant hepl yourself.

'I am legend' when the dog has to be killed- indeed, dont **** with the dogs in movies.

Also, the scene in the 'Torchwood: children of earth' mini series where the public servant guy takes his family upstairs and shoots them + himself to spare them from being taken by the aliens- that seriously got me going..

 

I dont really have specific films, more certain songs that cause me to well up in films, which no matter how many times i see a film the song always brings back memories!

Not many others that I can think of really, although certainly Stand by Me strikes a chord on so many levels looking back through my life at friends I've lost through various circumstances.

End of Wall E and the beginning of Up for me. Damn ye, Pixar!

 

Sweet November. I've only "seen" it once so far, I was fixing my computer at the same time. So I didn't really keep track of what was going on, but it really got to me. Especially when I found out about the cancer.

My father died of cancer when I was like 3, so I prolly got some unprocessed memories.
And my birthday is in November.

I refuse to watch it again.

 

I don't cry in real life. Never. Bones broken - no tears. Family members die - not a drop. But for some odd reason (perhaps Nexxo could shed light on this) I cry at the slightest bit of emotion in movies - Like it's only "acceptable" to feel sadness vicariously. I cried at Return of the Sith ffs.
