News Valve releasing free game today

i swear it said 2 hours earlier, wow they tease us

 

Valve time rears it's ugly head

 

That's just mean, mine has changed too

 

thought i was the only one, was hoping for some alien fragging after dinner

 

It seems to be stuck on two hours. Maybe they will keep it like that till next April then display an April fools splash screen followed by ' this goes for ep3 as well'.

 

This is the reason why I love Valve!!!!!! Quality, Support, innovation, they listen to gamers, and they give back to the gaming community, FREE GAMES. There's Valve ------then there's everybody else. I can't wait to play this tonight.

To all those complaining about Episode 3 taking forever, Just remember it will be released when all gaming hope is lost, during our darkest hour, when we are on the brink of extinction, Episode 3 will return like Jesus Christ himself and save us. So just wait as perfection can't be rushed.

 

However, failure can creep up on you. Episode 3 is very low on the list of things to look out for. I'll play it when it comes out but I won't be bouncing up and down on the chair like a housebroken puppy awaiting the go code.

Negativity aside, I've been waiting for this bunny since I first played Shadowgrounds, it's always been the desired result. As a freebie? Oh hell YEAH! Have spacesuit, will travel (the bigass guns are a bonus!) Now where exactly do I donate to someone for this fine piece of work?

How long before anyone makes an Aliens: colonial marine mod out of it?

 

This is pretty much how I stand on Mac laptops. I love them, and am willing to pay over the odds for it. My used and abused 2007 Macbook pro is still serving me well (albeit on my 2nd powerpack...). I'd never have a desktop Mac, but will probably always stick with their laptops. One more USB port would have been nice, admittedly.

 

120k vs the usual 1.1mb didn't think i'd get to play this tonight.

Gone again, ah well no hurry just leave the computer on and go to bed.

 

I will courteously refrain from hunting you down and plucking out your eyeballs. A nominal 2 MB connection here and download speeds varying between 3 kb/s and 60 kb/ps.

I'll be online sometime around Wednesday and up for a game or few. Steam tag is the same as the forum tag and if you mention Bit Tech I promise not to ignore you.

 

i changed my cloud content server from UK to greenland and downloaded at around 1mb.
been playing for a few hours with 3 random people. very fun

 

7Mb connection here and getting around 3KB/s too, definately won't be playing this today.

 

Just had a quikie in the offline mode, looks fun

Was able to download this last night but didn't have a chance to play it, hope I can tonight looks like fun with 3 mates.

 

we played the entire campaign lastnight, a little easier then the original mod but overall its very nice.

deffo room for more campaigns
