    Or is the demotivational aspect that our society overconsumes but has no interest in helping the poor?

    And by the way:
    66.000$??? Seriously? Am I glad I am European, how could you ever repay that kind of money, not even mentioning finding a job in the current bad economic situation..

    So in the end I really am demotivated and desillusioned

    It says "net worth" and then it displays the current account balance of each person. Actually the net worth of everyone is WAY higher than the homeless because they have investments.

    That's what I was thinking. The net worth would include all their assets too I'm assuming. So houses etc.

    their net worth is taking their bank ballance and assets into account already, it should be at least

    say the girl with the credit card debt, she might owe 5k and only have assets of 2655 which would leave her with a net value of 2345

    the guy with the student loan is the simplest as he only has an education but still has the loan, his net worth right now is low, but in the future it will be higher. his investment isnt in a monitory figure

    i think its more of a play on the things you own owning you.

    someone that takes a mortage out doesnt own it untill its paid off. you owe €100,000 its worth €100,000 its has a value of 0 on your net worth. as you go along paying you mortage it becomes a positive net value. say youve paid off some and you still owe €80,000, you have an assset worth 100,000 and you owe 80,000 against it, your net worth just on the house is 20k

    the homeless guy ows nothing but in net values worth more than the rest of them as he is $2.73 in the black

    your net value isnt important as its only a pic of worth right now at this instant, it changes over time and the end result is more important.

    net worth=assets-debts
