Hi With the news that BF3 will be dropping DX9 and primarily using 11, i've decided to start looking for a new graphics card. I currently own an Nvidia GeForce 9800GTX+ which I haven't overclocked, and im planning on upgrading a number of other parts to my system. Was just wondering what people would recommend as i've lost track of what cards are good after my model. I'd like to stick to Nvidia, card that supports DX11 (obviously) and probably max budget of £300. Any experiences with recommended cards, stats or links on info to good cards will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
What parts of your system are you going to keep? From personal experience I've upgraded graphics from a 8800 GTS 320MB to a 4870 1GB which was a huge jump in performance. Then after many faltering ATI cards I side stepped to a GTX 260 896MB. Now I am on a Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB enjoying some lofty overclocks! Also seems like prices are on a downward spiral at the moment, so in the near future you may well be able to get a 460 SLI setup for under £300. Check your motherboard is SLI capable first however!
Not to hijack the thread, But im also in a similar thought of mind as to the OP. I was undecided as to go for a ATI 5850 or not, but after reading around these forums the GTX 460 in Sli is really making me think again. currently have an 8800gt :s
