I forsee many a reviewer giving it 89% just to troll them.

 

while it might be of outstanding quality at release, it is still another fps. it will need to do something pretty special to match such a high prediction.

 

well it was voted pc game of the year at gamescom

 

If it can roll and FPS, RTS, MMORPG, and a JRPG, then it might make it

 

most reviewers are paid off anyway :/

the multiplayer video seems fun. but can't see any mode switch going on. it may score a 90% on consoles, but its real place is on PC's

I think most reviewers get it wrong, but that's because I've got my idea of what games are and Crysis 1 wasn't a game. It was a sparkly rendering engine. Gameplay and story were drivel. Crysis 2 looks like much of the same.

EA sounds happy. They have another franchise they can milk. More sequels, more money huh? Admittedly, it's not actually being made by EA.

My ex-misses works for a big PR company and they have a large game company on there accounts, she says it's going the the same way as the car industry where you fly them around first class, entertain them, buy them dinner etc, and cultivate a "relationship", then make them sit though a small PR presentation or get some hands on time.
There are several cars you won't find any negative reviews for even though they are absolute crap, because the jorno feras he will be will be cut-off from his nice cushy world Apparently at editor level there also backhanders in the form of exclusive reviews/previews/etc, and advertising deals.

This happens (and is well documented) in most industries so it wouldn't surprise me if games journalists were treated the same way, but probably only the "big boys" (meta-critic weighted I'd guess)

 

Is it just me that sees the hidden "or else..." on the end of the title?

 

wouldnt be the first time a publisher essentially bribed its way to a good review....gladly never on this site - but we've seen strangely good reviews for the sake of beign first to review before.

 

I bet it will get great reviews, sell well, millions of people will enjoy it. Bit-tech will give it a 9/10.

And then we will have to hear years and years of endless forum moaning and bitching about how awful it was, what a bunch of incompetent jerks Crytek are, how they didn't "get" it, how it doesn't play at ALL like Unreal Tournament (damn you Crytek!), it's too hard, how it's just a tech demo, blah blah blah blah blah. And then Bit-tech will run a story on how "terrible" it was.

Just like all the other Crytek games.
