I've posted most (all but 5) in the 'Photo of the Day' sticky, but I thought I'd just throw them all here for those who might've missed them and do like planes whizzing about. Hmmmm Hornet (*drools*). Pity we don't have many airshows (if we even have any) in Spain... Besides they wouldn't be as spectacular.
Thanks. I think that's m favorite shot too Yeah, they had a de Havilland Canada CT-142 (Bombardier Dash 8) there too, which I failed to get a shot of. Believe me, it wasn't a great show. RIAT, Farnborough, Paris, MAKS, even Aero India - those are great shows. Thank you!
Fantastic picture. Although shots like this are the only time I ever wish there was cloud at an airshow, so you could see the heat haze instead of just clear blue sky...
Looks like it was pretty good though. 100% agree about RIAT - Best. Airshow. Ever. Even better now I live nearer and don't have to get up at 4am to get there. Took less than 30 minutes to get there and parked this year Edit: Whoops, meant to edit this into my previous post, not add a new one... Edit2: While I'm here, might as well add a shameless plug for my RIAT photos - RIAT 2010
I know, would've looked quite cool with a few wispy clouds hanging around. We never get that sort of weather here - it's either clear blue skies or dull overcast crap. We had a grand total of one jet. That's "not good" in my book. Not that I'm complaining, mind - it had been about 2 years since my last air show and I was beginning to get withdrawal symptoms (making jet noises while driving very fast, pretending to be a dive bomber while swimming and so on). Your album pretty much hammers home the reason why RIAT is the best show ever - Patrouille Suisse, Red Arrows, VULCAN, more jets than I have fingers and toes and clouds (for the heat haze ).
