Yeah thats an idea I've thought about but now actually seen it done which confirms it's a great idea, requires thickish aluminium or whatever material though & an ok functioning drill press, I'd need a better 1 than my current.

Awesome to hear the cover can slide on & not budge only requiring 2 screws, really awesome craftsmanship :thumb: +rep :D.

Wow thanks for the response, and the laughs as well :hehe:
I drilled some holes and fixed the panel to the chassis today. Because this all worked
out well I can now finish the fans (sand some more, fill some more and paint) sand
and polish the plex, re-polish the alu (and find some proper sealer) assemble the lot
and install the hardware. So completion is getting close.
I still have to make a decision on the back (was originally going to have a door here, but
this would just look awkward as it would overhang the struts and feet too much) so I'm
thinking about a snap-in panel here. The wiring, although all hidden, will be a lot of work
because of the available space. Connectors for 24 pin, 8 pin and the two 6 pin GFX leads
will be removed to save room, and the wires connected directly to there positions on the
    motherboard and graphics card.
Next time I'll show you the completed fans. :)

Yes, I was going to make an update when the fans were finished but the painting
of the fan bodies is not going well at all. Trying to get a nice finish to the inside is
very difficult and I've had to re-sand several times because of runs and the like.

But other things are going well. I've polished the pads and they look terrific, and the
plexi polishing is proving to be surprisingly easy. Here's some pics. :)

Hopefully I can get the fans done this week, then things will move along much faster. I can't really do much until the fans are in place.
