I think that a small chatbox would be good for this forum, at the bottom of the forums or something out of the way. A place for idle chitchat and some quick fire questions so you would not need to make a post over. Just a thought. Edit: Make the chatbox for people with 200+ posts and 60 day+ membership to talk in it?
It's not that (well, it is a bit ), it's the constant spam that hits our site. You don't see it any more because we validate every single new member and we daily kill about 20-30 accounts. So you can imagine if those had free reign to flood a chat box. :/
But you'd get you use your ban hammer more, isn't that a good thing in Bindiland (Disneyland's retarded cousin)
At the moment the spam gets nuked before you guys have to suffer it, if it's all in a chatbox then there's no point us going to all the trouble of moderating all this lot if they can just copy & paste all the crap into a box. Yup, have a look in the FAQ for details.
Does anyone actually use the IRC, seems like it would be a bother to go through all the download/setup (don't have an IRC client currently) to find an absolute ghost town.
Not as many use it these days as there were a few years ago, but there're still a good group on there most of the time. I'd encourage anyone who's thinking of doing it to give it a go.

Maybe there could be a nice IRC client built into the forums with a link on top. Then there may be more people using it. If not, then why NOT have a chat box?
