That is a very sexy design Craig. Perhaps a tad small for my use but I would still buy one for a HTPC, you should design a horizontal version and call it Kraken :D.

Very impressive Craig, I wish you luck with the process, and may take some of your design cues in the future.

What material are you planning for the sides? Is that more carbon? It almost looks like delrin from the renders.

That said, I want to see Osidias finished!!!!! :)

    You never cease to amaze.

    Have Fun!

Lol, yep, look what you started!

    Haha, thanks as always man.

Thank you! I try to keep the my designs tight.

Thanks bro. You make my work look awesome!

    Thank you Loose!

Lol, small is kind of the point here. You can't get much smaller... Wait, did I mention that's a dual 140mm rad in the front? :D An HTPC variant is a possibility. This definitely won't be the only version.

    Lol, thanks man.

    I appreciate it Fabou!

Thanks! The case is 1cm PVC plastic. It's extremely durable. Making a case like this out of aluminum would increase both the material cost and the labor, both adding quite a bit to the selling price.

Sweet mother of all that's divine :jawdrop:

If you can make that for $200

Quite a lot of machining involved there... but looks like an awesome little case. Fantastic renders too :thumb:

want one of those, but the ITX world needs to get bigger before i jump aboard, as the selection of boards is still too small for me...

Lol, well you did a fine job here...

Thanks man! Now you know one of the things that's been taking up my time lately. :D

Thanks! When it gets closer to production time, I'll look at doing reservations.

Thanks man! There is a lot of machining involved, but hopefully I can still produce them fairly quickly.

Yeah, ITX is somewhat limited. However, there's also nothing like this out there. It's a niche I intend to fill.

Thank you! Exactly. I was going for something industrial and edgy. With the right lighting it might even be a little sinister...

Haha, thanks Yaka! Realistically, it will probably be the early part of next year before I can produce these in any sort of quantity.

    OOOOOOH!
    I like that!
I like the subtle way you broke up the 'boxyness' too. -Currently storing the dovetailed top layers in memory for future use...

Before you quote that price, take the spike in your electricity bill into account.:hehe:

Craig - you are a busy man. One of us needs to kidnap you and force you to finish one of these brilliant projects.

MOTY 2010 or 2011 is the only question I have left. It's happening.

150 to 200 bucks! Man if you can sell them for that, and make some money yourself, I
see a rosy future ahead in manufacturing. If I didn't make cases myself, I'd buy one. ;)

    Good luck.

Have you thought of talking to one of the larger case manufacturers about this design cos I would CERTAINLY consider one. An Awesome piece of design indeed.

    Good luck with both projects
