I recognise those rear light clusters. Are they from a triumph tr5 or similar?

I didn't want to post him on here until he was complete, but seeing as hopefully that may be this friday...i'll just be updating the thread with videos, and some more picturesque photos than my drive...

Its mini based and was a 1275gt engine, but since had a rebuild, 1310/big valves/ ported/ race cam / duplex chain/ lcb exhaust. Can't wait to see the difference it makes!

Nice! Just hope that lump stays reliable for you! 1275gt engines were either bulletproof or pants depending on how drunk the Austin factory worker was when assembling!!

    Fingers x'd for you buddy!

This is very true! Haha. But you, me AND Stick all know how many of us Brits turn up to work each day with a hangover..... lol.

I'm sure it'll be fine buddy. With the work you've had done on that, it'll be like a new lump anyway!

its not the engine im worried about in the midas, its the feck off hole in the fibre glass bulkhead that's got me worried when we pulled the old lump out.

It has better tolerances now that when it left the factory! So we should be alllriiiiight :)

Just waiting to see what difference it makes with all the lightweight stuff porting etc, never had such a tuned engine!

Currently the dizzy has lost its spark, when it ran fine before, go figure!

Now come on, it wasn't a hole, more...a flap...It has metal plates to spread the load, and another ultimate engine steady the other side ;)

Yeah it was cold / it has stuff to burn off haha. Got the car home today, clutch was 'slipping' but it was just the clutch arm stop holding the clutch on slightly. A couple of twists and bang, power down :D
