This is the first time I see this projects, and wow did it look cool! Making the SR2 fit is a hell of a job, much respect to you. I want to see more!
Cheers pal, your right it is proving to be a hell of a job fitting the SR2! Was my first attempt at making a mobo tray too which was harder than I thought, it took two attempts but I got there in the end lol!
Little update SR2 mobo tray adjustment 22/11/2010 Hi guys, just a quick little update ...well more of an adjustment of my last update on my mobo tray. I've been fully aware of what could be a major fault with my mod in the way the rads are positioned in blowing warm air into the case so I've thought twice and turned the bottom rad on it's side to blow the hot air from the graphics cards straight out of the back of the case behind the mobo. So this morning I got out the jigsaw and cut out an opening for the rad.
Cheers pal, the new case part's coming, if I get time tomoz I'm gonna knock it together and get it uploaded
I am so jealous of your: 1. Balls for "destroying" the Obsidian 800D to that extent. this should be categorised as a new build! 2. metalworking skills, 3. patience having an SR-2 lying around for so long unused. well done, and glad to see you're well enough again (albeit selfishly to keep me inspired - gotta get my ITX build underway) +1rep and keep up the exellent work! Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks k.3nny, glad you like it Cheers pal, thanks for the support! And yeah what you waiting for, get it started lol Much appreciated, thanks m8! Cheers pal! You will do, thanks m8
Ok Fella, how much is actually left of the original case...lol This more like a scratch build thats going to be using for bits of a random case. I have to say, that mobo tray/back plate looks bloody good.nice one Kojak + rep
I know I know lol , I've been diagnosed with 'hacking into metal disease', help me m8! I'm waiting for that a-hole on TheGreatSatan's thread to come an tell me it's not a mod lol!!!
It's no good asking me for help, all I'll do is talk you into cutting some thing else up I've just spent the afternoon cutting up an old case to make a PSU cover for Dylans build. Bit-tech is the right place for us at least we are among like minded nutters who probably use a dremel to cut their toast in the morning
Lol yeah they're gonna need to set up a Bit-tech old peoples home for us, for when we're all passed it to look after us to keep us all penned in and the public safe! I really can't wait to see the rest of Dylans build I love it!!
Congrats on the nomination mate , cool theme & intro too & for making the motherboard fit inside this case, awesome mod with advanced methods used, lol yeah I consider welding advanced as I've got got to that skill yet . Contender 1 reviewed .
