Hi guys, bought my first car just over a month ago and it came with some rather fetching pink/purple wheels. The novelty has worn off and im thinking about painting them a different colour. Just looking for some suggestions?

(yes, this tyre has been replaced since then)

eventually I want to get some deep dish BBS split rims but untill then these have to make-do. I quite like the idea of a dark "gunmetal" grey like this:

    Badass tax disc holder :)

Ummmm graphite grey/gun metal sounds sexy or possibly something more wacky like a skyline blue

Gunmetal grey if you can, otherwise black would look good IMO. :)

Wouldn't a set of BBS rims be worth more than the whole car?

And? haha, well you can get a decent second hand set for about £400-£500. My friend has some £700 BBS rims on his £600 polo 6n haha.

Gunmetal would look nice. Ditch the silly indicators on the front though. :p

Yea they look weird, wouldn't be so bad if the headlights matched but they don't. It has Xenon headlights from a GTI but the previous owner has fitted orange bulbs :S

Natural (silver) or maybe gun metal.

I don't really like painted rims, they look tacky even on expensive cars imo.

    Paint? why paint them?

just drive around for a bit in the salt encrusted roads, and when they're a uniform dark grey, just get your local pain shop to add three coats of clear coat.

Never have to clean them again.

otoh, RAL9011 Satin Black get my vote.

it's black, but not, and neither mat, nor gloss. And does indeed look evil.

Depends if it's a serious car or a fun car. Personally I quite like odd-coloured rims as long as it doesn't spoil the car. I've got white steelies on my car and they look excellent, some who own the same car have all manner of different colours and they're all pretty cool.

Favourite I've seen so far is a full cage and Speedlines in Kawasaki green.

Hate black. At a glance, it just looks like you have steel rims, and the wheel trims have fallen off.

Silver/metallic, so you don't look like some boy racer knob.

Odd coloured rims can be delightful, but not on a silver car. Two options only:

    Fact.

But, I'd be looking for a set of 6n2 GTI rims tbh. Or, if you wanna spend some cash, the ultimate would be Porsche Design 90s as per my old MK3:

Not with dark matt blue it isn't...

Could work well with the silver though. It'd be best with white though.

I favour all the dark grey/black suggestions, nice and understated.
