As an indicator of how the fans think there's a poll on F1 fanatic at the moment about who are the "real" Lotus in F1.

3200 votes: 66% for Lotus Racing, 18% for neither and 16% for Lotus Cars.

Also worht mentioning is that both teams seem to want to race in "JPS Black and gold".
Though it seems that a lot of "team lotus" fans think that green and yellow should stay.
    We'll see....

A lot of the new rules being revealed. Team orders rule removed for 2011.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9275796.stm.

    F1 ENGINE RULES FROM 2013
1.6-litre, four-cylinder turbos with energy recovery and fuel restrictions to replace current 2.4-litre normally aspirated V8s
Fuel efficiency to increase by a target of 35%
Overall power to remain same at approx 750bhp
Checks and balances to ensure costs are contained and performance across all engines remains comparable
Fuel to be limited by fuel-flow restrictions and a stipulated maximum tank capacity
Plan for advanced 'compound' turbos to be introduced in subsequent years
Power of Kers energy recovery systems to increase from 60kw in 2011 to 120kw in 2013

    Also:
In season 2013, it looks like there's only going to be 5 engines per driver per season, set to drop to 4 in 2014

I don't think this isn't a huge issue, the new rev limit is significantly lower than previous seasons.

yeah... the rev limit is REALLY low... though, turbos could possibly add some excitement to the game there...especially since they're bound to be BIG turbos

Still too many stoopid regulations to make this a manufacturer-championship tbh. I'd like to see a way more simple set of rules for the cars that allows for different concepts to compete against each other.
Either that or make it a real drivers-championship and give every driver the same car to begin with, which the teams can try to improove with very little modifications allowed.

I want the good old 80's back!

Agreed. I'd quite like all three actually. Martin, Crofty, and Ant would be a great team.
