Rail update!

I experimented with different amounts of boosters, reducing the amount I had each time, and I've come to this conclusion: we don't need any boosters. The stations give you such a massive boost, that even empty carts can make it across empty stretches. So I've removed all of the boosters apart from the one in spawn protection, and it all seems to be working fine. Just testing for momentum overflow currently.

EDIT: Still having problems, but much later than before. I think I almost made 2 laps this time.

Might have to tweak the station a bit.

I've just spent pretty much all day on Minecraft SP.

Why do the nights seem so long compared to the day time? Seem to be forever hurrying back to base before night.

 

nights on the multiplayer server are only a minute or two long...and theres no mobs so you can stay out "all night"

Before others mention it, I would refer you to the number of replies in this thread in response to low-post-count forumites asking for the server IP.

tl;dr version: hang around the forums for a bit longer, become an active member of bit-tech, then come back and ask nicely

Can OP make another map now? Stuff has changed, the forest fire in the east was extinguished, and tons of new area has been explored.

 

I've fixed the rail! At a single location on the loop, I stop all the carts for 1/8th of a second, then boost them off.

I'll start work on the pink line next, I think, because there's a lot of classy stuff over the sydney harbour bridge but there's no warps over there.

 

Mind that you don't use Iron blocks on the line, it has a tendency to force you out of the cart.
