    Ok i am actually serious...

From a young age if id ever thought i needed to see a doctor i would ask my mum to book me an appointment never have gone that often at all...

Maybe 5 times? from when i can remeber to 18 (how old i am now) seems childish but i literally don't know...

Its something i don't want to worry the family with because im sure im overreacting but just incase i want to get it checked out, no idea who my doctor actually is ... would i seem a bit of a dumbass walking in and saying that...

Again i seriously don't want to worry the parents so no "ask your parents" please :thumb:

If you know your surgery just give them a ring they should have your details on file, would be helpful if you knew the name of your doctor. ;)

Phone the local surgery. If you've been a few times you're presumably registered there and they'll tell you which GP the appointment is with. It's often not 'your' doctor anyway.

Ask your mum which surgery you're registered to, that saves looking like an ass if you're not on the local register. :p

Just pop round and ask to see the doctor, if they ask which one explain you haven't been for years and can't remember.

Literally you'll just need to phone your local doctor's surgery and say "Hi, I'd like to book an appointment to see a doctor please." They'll ask for your name and possibly your date of birth to see if the ones you see most often are available and ask which day and morning or afternoon, they'll then offer times based on what you choose and tell you which doctor you'll be seeing.

Alternatively, you can pop in to the receptionist at your local and ask if you can book an appointment or if there is any availability to see a doctor on the day if you're particularly ill.

Personally I prefer to go into the reception because there always a slight chance that someone else has cancelled an appointment on the day and the slot is available to claim.

Hint, phone first thing in the morning. Literally as soon as their phone lines are open IF you want a meeting the same day.

Chances are there will be loads of people there with mild colds, thinking they've got flu. I'd take a mask unless you want to catch something.

Don't worry, my flatmate asked me how to make a bed when he was 22 and living in his second year of Uni. I asked him if he ever made his bed in the first year and he said he just waited until his parents were visiting and they would wash his sheets and make his bed for him....so lame....

The funniest part was when he had a pillow in one hand and a pillow case in the other and asked 'so does this (the pillow) go in there (the pillow case)?'....I couldn't believe it!
