Yep, all the Logos are existing Gigabyte ones. But I think what they are talking about is the 3 white boxes at the top just below the Gigabyte name. It probably is just the logos for Sandy Bridge and it's new socket type as for some reason many places are hiding those?!

It does indeed say dual CPU ... is that any use in gaming yet? The last feature BT did was that 2 cores was more than enough. I expect you folding fans will be wetting your pants.

Nevermind, I've just researched 'dual cpu power'.

The Intel logo's are part of the NDA. Intel is swinging a mighty big banhammer around to stop people from posting any specifics on SB, and the logo's are part of it.

Maybe the box has two UD7s in it? :naughty:
fuuuuuuuu took me a long time to see that! Bindi, you are the troll of trolls!

I don't think it's a photoshop, and for the record I don't see the resemblance to Ricky Gervais, but has anyone considered the possibility that it's a normal sized mobo box and that dude is just really small (and has a tiny office made bespoke for his pixie like dimensions)?

If it had 2 CPU S1366 sockets for 2 standard i7 (not Xeons) with chip linking both to create one giant virtual CPU then yes, I want one. It will be useful at home. If it is Sandy Bridge based design, then not interested at all. Old X58 is superior in every way, SATA3 is not big deal as 99.9% of disks is unable to saturate even SATA1 or 2, USB3 cards are dirt cheap and if you need one, buy one for peanuts instead changing motherboard. It must be something truly special for people to buy it, for anything more than showing off.

Loving that new 'OMG-ATX' standard. Good giggle.

I'm guessing that Mountain Mods lads cheering for Gigabyte new monstrous MB.

SB is a replacement for S1156. S2011 is the X58/S1366 replacement, due out Q3-ish.

Clock for clock, we're expecting a significant increase over both S1156 and S1366.

Also, I don't see an S1366 hitting 4.5+Ghz stable on air, which has already been shown around the web. So it's not superior in every way.

Quadfire/Quad-SLI SB motherboard with onboard Creative sound card and AMD 5850/6850 graphics? And onboard SSD's... Mmm.. I think I've just found my next birthday/Christmas/day ending in -ay present. :D Not that my other half'd be too happy about me spending all of my well-earnt cash on something that isn't drivable and doesn't sparkle!

Will Gigabyte now have to come up with a chassis that could fit this monster? If their previous chassis are anything to go by, I kinda hope not! Not to say their last ones were bad, they just weren't my cup of tea.

    :jawdrop: Madness.

I'm hoping to stick with normal ATX for a fair while yet, these excessive beasts just aren't necessary for my pc needs but it's good they cater for the insane power mad types .

It'll just be full of useless 'goodies'. I remember the box my socket A DFI mobo came in was huge because it was loaded with useless tat.

As for price its got to be in the $800-1000 price range, Will it fit in any cases?
