Nitrix asked if I could post the build :dremel: log in here as he said it's probably the only one they plan to ship to the UK.

First off thanks to Nitrix and the guys at Aquatuning for getting the unit shipped over and all of the other various cooling parts purchased as well. Looking forward to it arriving this week, pretty sure I drove Nitrix mad on MSN trying to organise this. I'll always use Aquatuning for my cooling needs, it may take a day or 2 longer to get the delivery than ordering from somewhere in the UK, but the prices are competitive and the customer service is flawless. :thumb:

So having got a HC-500 in lieu of the 1000 as the gf was not happy about the size ( insert lewd joke ). She finally gave in and realised I was not happy with the cooling power of the 500 to cool all of my hardware. I think she finally broke when I dumped an AC evaporator into my 50ltr reservoir and told her this is how I am gonna keep my cooling system :D.

We've decided to build a small shed outside in order to house a Hailea titan 4000 and run the pipes into the house. I'll also need to mod the front panel so as to run the controls and dials into the house, should be pretty easy.

The new build will consist of.

    Chiller - Hailea Titan 4000 (hc-2000)
    ( Aquatuning )
Case - LianLi Pc-P80 obviously gonna be some modifications to this (Scan )

    Mobo - Gigabyte UD9 ( Scan )

    CPU - I7 980x ( YoYoTech )

    GPU - 4 X ASUS ENGTX580's ( ASUS / YoYoTech)

    Ram - 12gb Corsair Dominator GT CMT12GX3M3A2000C9
    ( Scan )
    PSU - 1 x Silverstone Decathlon 1200w ( Single Rail for GPU's ) and 1 x Enermax Revolution 1250 ( Multi rail for peripherals and mobo ) ( YoYoTech )

    GPU Blocks - 4 x EK 580 Acetal+Nickel blocks ( Aquatuning )

CPU Block - Either my Swiftech Apogee or Heatkiller 3.0, will test temps ( Aquatuning )

Fittings - Various compression fittings all the way round
    ( Aquatuning )

    Tubing - Primochill LRT ( Aquatuning )

Lighting - Various Led, UV lights etc
    ( Aquatuning )

Reservoir - Undecided as of right now, I might use a couple of EK-Spin bays I got from ( Aquatuning ) a while back which I used to use for my standard water cooling setup, but I am unsure if they will give the chiller enough of a buffer.
I've got the option of the 50ltr Ice chest I made out of a cooler box, but I think it is overkill. The other thing i was looking at was one of these 12ltr water tank

I think that covers everything so on to some preliminary pics! I'll post reasonably sized pics in the thread and links to larger ones if people want more detail after them.

Still waiting on some parts to arrive, Chiller should be this week, GPU's ASUS rep told me Jan 7th and 12ltr res should also be this week. Once the chiller arrives I can start constructing the outhouse, probably going to just be something basic with a felt roof and enough space so the chiller doesn't overheat in there. I looked at small storage sheds from like B&Q but prices start at around the £100 mark which seems insane when I could construct something for a third of the cost that will probably be a lot sturdier

    MOBO, Blocks and Case

    Chiller Shed!

I didn't take many pics of the build process on the shed because it really wasn't that interesting, some sheets of wood, jigsaw, planer, screws, hinges, vents and stixall!

I still need to drill holes for the piping, rewire the chiller's front panel to come into the house, seal the box and sound proof it.

Based on various input from users in this thread I am going to go for the acoustic tiles from these guys Tiles
. Maybe even add some rubber feet to the pallet, i will probably build a better stand than the pallet to keep the box off the ground and from getting wet. Right now there is a lot of vibration through the balcony roof to the room below, So standing the chiller inside on some polystyrene then on top of the acoustic tiles and adding some rubber feet to the pallet should hopefully resolve that.

Just wondering, why the UD9? As the Rampage 3 Extreme performs much better and it cheaper... Infact the Asus Sabertooth performs better, is cheaper and has a 5 year warrenty.... Curious. Looks interesting though.

I have a couple of rampage 3's and a sabertooth but they don't support quad SLI, in fact sabertooth only supports SLI not even TRI

The asus rep has been promising me an xpander card for the R3E but it's still a no show and I want to crank this out, I told him once he gets me the Xpander board I will swap the boards around.

Actually there are quite a few updates, it's Turing into a pretty big project, I brought 4 of the directcu ii. 580s with the triple slot coolers and am having a guy over at xtrrmesystems Bei_fei custom make me cooling blocks for them.

The ud9 just died though so back on the rampage iii. It's all been rather manic and I plan on getting some good pics up soon of the box and 3d designs for the blocks.

I will post a big update with pics asap just been so hectic earning the N's to pay for my insanity of cars and computers :) still got both my cars being rebuilt as well, so much going on!
