Yeah, I had to draw an atx/matx hole pattern template and a hole template for a psu myself recently. I also found a nice plugin for illustrator that converts it to cad software and exports to .dxf. (gah, lost the link though.)
No news really, but content will certainly make me more willing to continue development! Content is King afterall.
I really just need some content, and suggested categories and website features. http://blueprints.jezmckean.com/
This will be awesome, im about to embark on a fully acrylic test bench so anything i create i will be more than happy to let you have.
Drawing a nice tool free design for hdd as we speak. If anyone knows the outside dimensions of a 3.5" hdd I will probably send it to you in like an hour. Then I'll start working on some more parts I need to make. Good work jez.
Thankyou. Will start after one of my favourite tv shows and hopefully send it tonight. 3d is ok right?
No 3d autocad files. Id say the best files would be a 2d net in dxf or dwg, a 3d drawing in dxf or dwg and a dimensioned pdf for people without autocad. Also I have an educational version but that shouldnt be a problem should it? Sorry for not doing it last night but i tried and i was really tired and it just turnd out terrible.
.c4d, .max/3ds, .obj, .dxf and .skp would be the major fileformats. Covering Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max, various AutoCAD-programs and Sketchup.
How easy is it to convert between the different formats? I'm hoping to be able to have multiple file-types per model. Should it be possible to filter a search by file type?
Very sorry for not having it done yet. I was busy designing parts for my rc and forgot my other hobby lol. Ill get it done soon thouhg if my computer would stop freezing in autocad.
I can post the DXF flat pattern of my MiniMac design if anyone is interested? I need to do a little work to it first but if anyone is interested I would be happy to share?
I think a section for cases wether standard or not would be a great help for modders. Even if only a couple of case mods and standard cases are available people with not as much drawing skills as some could simply cut and paste what they need. I would be intereste din some of your designs roboduck. i think they are great. Also do you use autocad for rendering?
