I started lurking in about 2003. I don't remember who's mod it was that got me out of lurking, but here I am. Took some months off last year doing secret stuffz for 2 Squadron RAAF but I'm back. I actually did PMs in real time with The Relix. Sheesh! I am oldtimer.

Better spam as much as you can then. Try timing the big 10,000 posts with the 5 year mark!
    You can do it!

You know you haven't been on bit-tech long enough when you don't understand 90% of the s*** being said.

In ten years time there will be another thread like this when people say:

"Remember when the Demot Thread was still goin?"

"Remember that thread about a guy trying to hook up with some chick he met via t'interwebs? Managed it too i think"

"Remember that I hate the person above me thread? Some guy called Bumrusher was always posting in there."

    etc. etc. :D

I remember when Unicorn had no rep. I remember when rep was introduced, for that matter. I remember Bindi being one of the first to shoot up like a rocket (I think the discrepancy between his post count and his rep bar disturbed people )

I always have a funny feeling that Major is still lurking here. He seemed too emotionally engaged with bit-tech to ever leave, at least without committing some sort of act of terrorism first.

Major committed an act of terrorism every time he wrote something down which normal functioning human beings could be exposed to.

How far back does Bit go, anyway?

Aah, Computerking, a screen name I would SO like to forget. I never could figure out why so many people found him amusing. I vaguely remember the name Major, but that's about it. I remember when our resident Linux expert got pissed off and left. That was a sad day.

Ohhh, and remember that guy who got us all worked up about his beautiful copper and carbon fibre mod too!

I think I've been lurking around now for about 3 years. I'm pretty sure that I was right about to start a mod when I signed up too...

I remember when Bit was using the Union Flag logo. Lurked for a bit before joining the forum. IIR there was some rule against using webmail accounts to sign up back then and I didn't have another address.

been lurking since(and joined) in 2003. I remember most of what everyone is talking about. I come out and post when I feel like it.

I was a transplant from another small modding community called twistedforums. I joined here because someone mentioned bit on that site. I didn't like it originally because the majority were from UK but grew to like it more as tf seemed to be less and less mature.
