[H] are getting their low end chips to between 3.6 and 3.8 GHz but it's taking quite a bit a Bclk as the max multiplier on these (including turbo) is 18 I think. Not at all shabby for chips that typically cost them less than 500 bucks each. Hope you don't mind me continuing to tempt you at every opportunity Rob
Indeed we are! I just took four places overnight by returning 76000 points at the 3AM update, bringing me back into the 80's in the team
Hoping to make a return to folding in the new year. With a sandybridge setup. May go nvidia if atis cards dont impress me too. I think i got to 200000 points on 2 8800gs card before i kept getting errors. Real good work tho guys and gals.
just saw on extreme overclockers at this rate we could possible overtake TSC as our 24hr average is now higher than theres! keep it up guys we can take 'em
Just started an AM2 at 3GHz, just the push we need for 400 more ppd to overtake Lol we have 600 members, them 960 and almost the same ppd Hopefully some more people will come online soon and fold, so we can take the lead. Come on people, it can be any old tat, just fold on it! And don't forget to overclock it
will be adding an i7-980X and triple GTX460 when the case turns up. I will need some guidance on SLI & overclocking this, so I'll be back soon asking questions. Was inspired by others efforts and our production rate is going through the roof atm!
Awesome hardware mate although you know that GTX460's can't be ran in Tri-Sli assuming thats what you wanted to do? Start yourself a thread and ask away about folding as theres loads of us on here that will be happy to help you get that lot running!
thought i would try and re-ignite this thread as we have a high enough 24hr average to be able to have 3 yes 3 teams in our sights!! the nearest (time wise) for an overtake is overclockers.com who we currently have a daily gain on of just over 700k!!! keep it up everybody and soon we'll even have those vodka drinking russians beneath our feet!!!! (no offense intended if you are russian)
Will be able to get my rig back up and running soon, i7 920 and 460, possibly soon to be 480/295 So thats a good 40k to add to our daily
Im back up and running after a few weeks of absense with my old slow pc,its helping our score not by much but anything is better than nothing,im building my new pc so will be needing some help setting up the FAH software on my 980x I hope to be using the high points software for big units on it but havent got a clue how to set it up especially on a multi core cpu
Multi-core SMP folding on a 980x is now much easier to set-up then with earlier clients. To complete -bigadv work units you will need to run 24/7, and to improve the PPD a bit of easy over-clocking is useful. Just follow the guides from Stanford, then if you have problems start a new thread here, and we'll help if we can.
I really wish i could fold but atm im living with my parents and they pay the electric bill so i cant really afford too which is a shame b/c i have 3 rigs i could use, qx6700 @3.6ghz, 9800gt 1gb, q9400 @ 3.8ghz w/ gtx 260 216 and a core 2 duo e6300 @ 2.4ghz with a 8800GTX. really wish i could help out guys....
