I got my AX850 the other day and today I was setting up the whole PC. I press the power button. Nothing. S***.
I start checking every PSU cable in the system, starting with the 24 pin ATX. I used a sharpie to remove the sleeving and I am sure that didn't do what I found underneath. One of the cables was split, over the other side of the bundle, my sharpie had been nowhere near there and another one out at the end (must of fell out of a crimp pin that had 2 cables, except I don't know which one. What do I do? Ask Corsair support for new cable? Or what?

Think we need pics as I don't fully understand what exactly has happened.

If you're saying that cables have come out from the 24 pin ATX connector then why did you need to remove the sleeving to see this as it should have been visible without putting the cable under the knife.

One of the cables split halfway. Another one came out of one of the pins.
If you still dont understand, I will post photos some time soon.

I think they're going to reject any warranty applications as they'll say you've damaged the cables... Should've just RMA'd it...

If the PSU is new then can't you try the retailer in the first instance?

Does anyone know where I can BUY a replacement cable? I mean it is a fully modular PSU.

Corsair support is really good, not quite sure where but on a few of the techie forums there's a guy called YellowBeard, last I knew he worked for Corsair so it might be worth trying to contact him.

The thing I don't understand is, brand new PSU which doesn't work so why the hell did you start taking a knife to it?

I have read the Corsair FAQs and it says they will replace any cables that have not been intentionally broken :)

Corsair are really pretty good. I emailed them to say that my side panel that came with the case was bent and didn't sit flush, they sent me another for free and I used the bent one to practice modding on :)

I've been sent free PSU cables from Corsair in the past. They sent me double the amount I asked for.
