So it's 2011, and all the teams are gearing up to launch their new cars.
HRT and FIndia are set ti run the old chassis at the first tests, Ferrari, Suaber, and Lotus-Renault have stated a "Late January" launch for their respective challengers, with STR coming on Feb 1st

Im more excited about next season than this one tbh. New rules sound good tho I wonder how moveable wings will effect this years and if they'll remain next. Hopefully some of these rules like aero effect under the car being more important than wings will change the cars enough to bring excitment to the pretty boring newer circuits of the last few years!

Why is everyone launching in Valencia? Are they all chipping in for the flights as part of the new budget-caps? I suppose the end of Jan is a nice time to be a racing journalist.

They are in Valencia anyways for testing their cars after the winter-break where they aren't allowed to test-track.

It's been like this for a decade allready.

HRT are just constantly embarassing themselves - they don't have the financial clout to stay in F1. I mean come-on, pulling out of FOTA?

I think pulling out of FOTA was an interesting move. If what is claimed about red bull is true FOTA has failed to step in and protect small teams that don't have a big budget. This means that big teams will have influence to do what they want when they want (Look at the FIA and Ferrari). How many times have has something happened but remained unchallanged due to politics with in FOTA or the sport in general? Why be part of a body that won't represent you? much better sucking up to the devil for favours ie. Bernie.

Do you think DC will now be doing the pit walk or will they allow MB to still do the pit walk while DC covers the comm box?

I wonder if DC will do the pit walk so he can stay on the ground as part of the "3 Team".
