Just be yourself and go for it. Getting shot down is always better then doing nothing at all because the "What if?" will nag you forever.

I had a similar situation, at work, nice girl, got along with really well. Somehow I found out she had a boyfriend DAMN!! Didn't matter, continued being friends, always eyed her up when she wasn't looking ;) AND started spotting her eyeing me up when I wasn't looking. Same thing whenever I turned around I would see her looking at me and we would smile at each other.

She lived not too far from the work so I offered to walk her home because it was late shifts ;) Done that for a while and always got the "look back" from her! I waited for that look back each time we parted and it always came.

Soon after she left her boyfriend who she had been with for like 4 years, and a while later we got together.

I think you have HIGH chances my friend ESPECIALLY when you get the "look back" and flirty smile! Just don't jump into it too quick because those flirty stages are truelly awesome!! And the longer the flirting carries on, the more frustrated you will both get, and then you will just jump on each other one day ;)

So thats my advice, keep flirting, have a good time, ask her out as a friend (but continue to flirt), walk her home (and try and spot the look back when you depart). If it comes REJOICE and be patient!! All things come to those who wait!!

Yeh i agree infact i would say the flirting without even talking is one of the best :p

You just sense someone looking at you and when you glance over your shoulder she is there smiling its awesome!

Does driving count? :p she lives 9 miles away and im sure she would'nt be impressed if i offered to walk her home (Hour or more walk atleast) only problem is we rarely finish at the same time

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment... however, making sure it goes well, is the first step on the road to VICTORY!

    Driving is fine... *sniggers*

Don't worry... if he reports back on the good front, we'll buy him silver condoms so he can come second for once

Never quite got this nice guys finish last thing. I know plenty of people who got into relationships this way just remember that being nice doesn't mean you can't flirt.

And if you're "stealing" her of a current boyfriend make sure he's not bigger faster and stronger than you.

    Also
Listen to the man. Thread needs more updates

I know what you are going through. I am in the same boat as you EXCEPT the girl I like is single. Problem is we've been friends for over a year, and IDK what the hell to do to try and get out of the friend zone with her :(

    right right.

I know exactly three women who I think I might be compatible with. One is engaged to a guy who is 20 years older than she is and they are the happiest couple I know. That, and I'm just not attracted to her for some reason.

The second is 18 and still in high school. I'm 34

and the third one is my sister. :(

My ability to date is constrained by my inability to find compatible women.

i was restraining myself from updating this but i have to vent so this is the best thread for it im guessing

so we worked together today.... went ok... did'nt ask her out... I got completely mixed signals and just could'nt bring myself to do it

One moment we would be laughing and there would be this fantastic banter

The next just awkward silence and i was trying my hardest to start conversation but she was'nt picking up on it, we were rather busy today but still

    It was roughly like this

    Comes in
    Friendly Banter
    Awkward silence and no talking
    Friendly Banter
    Silence
    Silence
My break (At this point i was so ****ing frustrated by the whole situation)
    Back from break
    Banter
    Banter
    Silence
    She went on her break
My break was 15 minutes till she finished her break she was sitting on a table of 3 woman i sat by myself i don't like to jump somewhere when im probebly not wanted
    Banter
    Banter
    Silence
    Silence
    Silence
    Banter
    Silence
    I leave.....

It was a frustrating day i really can't decide if it went well or not... i had so many different times that i thought "Yeh theres something between us" then theres like "Why the **** do i even bother"

Now im drowning my sorrows listening to metal i have a 1 week holiday i could pop in and see her but im really wondering if theres even much point ****ing bothering anymore

It's always worth bothering with until you know for sure that there is nothing ever going to happen.
