    Sounds good to me.
I'll be able to import RC car parts, Airsoft Parts and all manner of stuff with much less of a worry :D

Of course though it means less tax money towards things they spend tax on and they will get it from somewhere else, sadly most likely fuel and the new Road car Tax bands in 2009-2011 (check http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Nl1/Newsroom/Budget2008/DG_073093 for the latest on the new taxes)

Don't count your chickens, the BBC is giving a wrong impression.

    • There's no VAT charged on non-EC orders up to £18 value

    • There was no duty collected where the duty would be under £18, now it's if levied if over £7 duty or £105 value. So worse for highest-rated goods, better for low rates.

You didn't read the date of the first post did you? :thumb:

This didn't make a lot of difference as there's still VAT and the admin fee to pay, notwithstanding the fact that the customs limit has been £18 for years.
And... of course VAT is now 20% & not 17.5%

Ye, hate it when nabs go round bumping ancient topics. Probably same kind of person who spams to get access to marketplace to rip people off.

Spambots are not people or scammers, they are just programs trying to link to dodgy sites; big difference between that and a noob who doesnt read the date of the last post/ spams loads of threads to boost their post count...

It's time to humanely put this thread out of its misery.
