Linux Minecraft; Official Bit-tech server

Hey guys, hope everyone is well and had a good christmas and new year

I haven't been around much but thought I would hop on the server to say hello only to get the 'Internal exception java error' and from reading back through a couple pages I am guessing I need to downgrade back to 1.1

Not got time to do that now but I will try and hop back on sometime soon to catch up with you all and see what has been changing

Just found something useful that will allow you to have two copies of Minecraft. It's called minecraft portable and it's designed for running minecraft from USB, but I'm using it to run 1.1_02 seperately from 1.2 so I can play on the official server.

Get it from http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=40225&sid=708b1d144a790b759533360951c42445 and extract to a folder. Run it once and log in. Let it update Minecraft to 1.2. Then just replace the 1.2 files with the 1.1 files from Multiplay. Set the launcher to USBmode as mentioned in the guide then load Minecraft. It'll be 1.1 and it'll store all it's settings in the folder rather than in the main Minecraft install folder. I've tested this and I have no problems

Just thought it'll help people that want to play on the MPUK server running 1.1 as well as the survival server running 1.2

Hey, as far as I know, LEGO is said to be an educational toy? Following that logic, minecraft teaches us a lot... like... don't go into dark places without a sword and torches. and that punching a tree gives you wood

With minecraft.net being down i am taking the liberty to do some windows updates on the server. So when maybe minecraft.net is up and you cant connect, thats maybe the reason... It will not take long but i thought i mention it.

ZOMGROFLWTF! We are running hMod again! or should i say kMod?! well who cares IT WORKS!! (could still be bugs though.. please report in this thread if so, then maybe i'll remove it again)

There seems to be a mob-spawning problem.. will look into this further

GRMBL!!!!! !@#$$%*(& disabled kMod again due to mobs not spawning :S damn it, so close.....

 

I can't even log in.

Just says it can't connect to Minecraft.net

The website wasn't working earlier either, and then it was, but I still couldn't connect, and now the website is down again, and I still can't connect.

oh well, at least I should get a good nights sleep,

 

sooo..the creative server should be go for update!!!

And I can log in.


Tried creating a bukkit server, but can't connect to it atm.

Although I can connect to a normal server, so maybe its bukkit.
