Ive seen some people, mainly on this site having a bit of problems with this motherboard.
So my question is as the topic states: Are there any happy Asus P8P67 PRO owners out there?
Im a bit confused because all the reviews ive read seem to be quite pleased with this motherboard.
Also does any of you owners happen to use the Thermaltake Frio cooler, and can you confirm that there is no issues using ram with heatsinks (mainly thinking of the Corsair Vengeance).

    Thanks in advance

There is bound to be some happy people. It's just the unhappy people are the only poeol that Bit*h and moan (Like me at the start ) you hear :p
I'm happy with the board now but if i was buying again i would be getting a Gigabyte UD4 just so i don't have all the hassle.
I'm using a zalman x10 and it blocked off the first slot forcing me to use the second and fourth rather than the first and third.
I would be very careful with the frio. The whole socket just seem to me alot more toward the middle of the board than the older type sockets.

I think you have a good point there,

I suppose if it works, your likely to use it rather than tell people about it.

First board died within 3 days, bought another rather than wait for return and testing but that board was dead on arrival too. The board was great, when it was working...

I used a Gelid Tranquillo and there was hardly any clearance between the fan and the RAM, if they had heatsinks they would've had to be taken off

On paper it is. There's just seems to be more problems with the bios, cold booting, VGAs not being detected, boards dying after a day or so, being DOA etc. and these problems extend through all of the ASUS P67 range

So odd as I've been using Asus for years, so much so that I practically swear by them. Must be all the new tech that's been piled into SB, like the new BIOs and such.

That's probably it them, as Asus fully implemented the new EDFI BIOs, unlike others...

I'm quite keen for the Feb hardware guide, because fans for this board are confusing a tad there seems to be a few size issues. I'm hoping by the time I get one of these the issues have been fixed.

I haven't had any problems yet with my P8P67 Pro, beyond a faulty Chassis fan 1 plug, but then again I've only been using it for 4 days now and I updated the bios almost straight away after hearing all of the stories.

EDIT: come to think of it the mouse scrolling right all the time in the bios was bloody annoying too, but that might just be my mouse.

I've had this board for a week now. Don't have any issues with it, updated to the latest firmware and went on my way. My voltages are looking a little high, but i'm sure thats a setting I've done incorrectly, rather than the boards fault.
