Take thyn preachings and attempt to preach them to heathen ears on the field of battle where thou shall be met with grave resistance...
just don't send it from a hotmail address, (according to the FB page) it'll get zapped by their spam filter.
Has anyone tried the Imperial Guard in the beta? I really like that AT-ST walker unit (can't remember the name at the moment). i'm also loving the whole red army/communist feel of the faction and units. reminds me of the Eastern Fronts mod from COH.
It's a Sentinel. Imperial Guard were based on the Russian army in World War II. It's where they got the idea from. Most of the species in 40k are based on a real life inspiration.
Commisars Summary Executions MOAR NUMBERS MEANS MOAR WIN mentality check, check and check. I'll stick to Space Marines and their chainaxe totting ways!
Yes, they're based entirely off my Big Happy self *glares through the monitor Resident Evil: Apocolypse style*
im backing out buying the game on release... im a little underwhelmed after the beta... nothing has changed, just an extra side to play [imps] Will pick it up when its about £15-18 like i did with Chaos rising
Turning from the light of The Emperor will cause the Inquisition to look disprovingly towards thy meat and two veg sir... they may have to be removed in a sacrafical ceremony. although saying that... the Beta was quite fun. Heavy Bolter noise is once against music to the ears of a fruitcake like me
Until DOW returns to base building and mass units requireing micro management i see no point in buying dow2 expansions same thing just re-skinned. A few squads is not 40k.
Thing is though from a story point it really is most of the literature rather than rule books or codex focus on small numbers of squads, and reflecting that the single player since 2 develops much more story I do agree that the multi feels a little restrictive though Sent from my Desire HD
I've fired up the beta a couple of times only so far... the low number of units was surprising. As SM, I could field a Techmarine, 1 x Scout squad, 2 x Tactical squad, 1 x HP Dev squad and a Land Raider. Not a huge force to be honest...
space marines revolve around quality as opposed to quantity. the have the most durable units that deal some nasty damage. i personally love using apothecary with 2 scouts and a tac marine squad. add a devastator after some time then i get a dreadnaught and finish the game XD btw. theres a new patch
You DO realise there's an entire campaign for each race in the new game, right? Plus new Last Stand map/heroes? Plus the multiplayer has been redesigned to a more hybrid game.
Oh, and clearly you've not been 40king for some time Kill Team anyone? Even a 1,500 point game isn't more than a few squads these days.
