I dont pay the bills and game performance doesn't really matter __________________
I'd add some more RAM since you're doing 3d modelling, those programs like alot of RAM. And, any reason why you're choosing a 480 over a 5xx? As for the OS X, I don't think it should be a problem to install it with the right tools.
5 series nvidia card 8gb ram for a little more ££ Corsair psu a deffo As your using graphics apps you might need 2tb hdd and it's only £20 more. Then in future you could get an ssd
Your right nvidia are better then ago at 3d rendering. But the 5xx series cards are alot better in performance, noise and power consumption
I should of have mentioned that i can spend even a bit more than 1020 since the money comes from my parents
Also that monitor is 1920x1080 You'd be better off with a 1920x1200 as the vertical pixels help with image viewin and editing 16:9 v 16:10 aspect ratio
Get a gtx 580 as they have much better tesselation than the 400 series- this will help with rendering. Also, double your ram to 8gb, prices of DDR3 are so low that it shouldn't be a problem.
Im not sure a about spending that much money for a psu is coolermaster psu realy that bad or any other out there for less beacuase i would rather spend that money on drive or a better monitor but since im not the expert im asking you people in bit tech commounity
Get the 2500k OEM instead of 2600k and save £100 then spend the difference on a better GPU (570)or IPS monitor. http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Monitors/23%26quot;+Monitors/23%22+Dell+UltraSharp+U2311H+Widescreen+IPS+Monitor+?productId=40729 And get 8gb of RAM.
An Antec 650Watt true power will be enough for the 570GTX if you get it. That saves 40 pounds. 8Gb is a must really in a rig like that. Also 74 pounds for 4gb of ram is pretty expensive. I got my 8gb of corsair for 80 I think it was. The HSF is overkill. Them Sandybridge chips run very cool. Look at something like the Geild Tranquillo Not a fan of the case personally but if you like it that is all that matters. Before you buy have a look at the Fractal R3. A slick rendering machine need a slick case. I don't know how mac will run with that kit as I have no clue about mac but i presume since you specked it will be ok.
By 5 series, they mean a 570/580 not a 5870 I've read many mixed reviews of CM PSU's, some are ok, in a CPC mega test last year both failed horribly. Either way, CM PSU's are annoyingly loud.
Ups simple mistake adding extra letters sorry the only one i can afford is the 560 would this be better than a gtx 480??
Actually thats 2x4gb kits x2 i should make that clear sorry it my fualt for puting it at the end ok hmm i will try with the smaller noctua them
