BFBC2 CPC server revamped

i'll remove Heavy Metal and see how it goes. this is a democracy run server, keep getting cry of change map when im on the server.

 

Everytime i've be on we seem to have 32, then Heavy Metal comes on and... WHAM down to about 12 or 14...

 

Heavy Metal is an abomination.

 

There is just no accounting for taste when it comes to music...

The BC2 server is on blade 35.

 

so...... they will move Minecraft away from Blade 35, and thus possibility of smoother gameplay?

i should be on tonight, and also will be testing the sniper limiter.

also i've been thinking about posting a notification for a BFBC2 night for this week, anyone have any suitable days? Thursday night?

 

They're just moving minecraft onto new hardware, which somehow impacts the BC2 server.

I doubt anyone who uses the BC2 server will notice any difference.

Man Im still hating my IronSight, dont know why but its getting frustrating for me to level up on that game.

I normally play MOH (kinda similar) and it wasnt this desperating, maybe I just need more time playing it dunno

 

FYI: Shooting someone in the head with the .50cal point blank does no damage.

And on the subject of Heavy Metal I like it in moderation, it'd be a shame for it to disappear completely from the server. Is there anyway to apply a weighting to the maps for rotation? that would alow less popular maps to sit be played but just not as frequently?

i would love if anyone can find some spare time to read through this thread, and advice me on how to limit snipers on the server. (best to only limit 12x scopes, since some people such as myself like to run around with a bolt action)

i am also going to test out mixed gamemode plugin v3, have just compiled lists of game modes. so hopefully this will automatically switch to Rush mode when there's enough people on the server. also, this should allow Heavy Metal to be played based on number of people on the server.

@Nealieboyee however, this mixed gamemode plugin requires ProCon server layer to be always on. since if it isn't, the server may stuck in single map rotation, which is never fun.

 

Sorry I haven’t been on much of late guys, I was away last week on holiday, and all the evenings in between have been taken up with building the £100 PC. *Might* get a chance to be on this Thursday, along with a new friend who’s PC I’ve just help build. He’s new so go easy (I know you won’t)

 

No probs wyx. New system is running stable and haven't turned it off in 3 days now.

I use an M95 with 12x scope. Please don't limit me!

the weapon limiter has an option to whitelist everyone in the reserved list, and it shall be turned on although i can't work out which one is the 12x scope....... and still need to work out where to put the actual rule set phrases.


@Neali: if you are turning off your PC for a longish time (more than 10min, since most rounds last around 10min):
-Go into List tab, the Map tab
-if it's in Rush, select Conquest, click on Change mode. it will add all conquest maps into rotation. if it's in Conquest, add some maps to the list.
that way, when you close ProCon, the server won't be stuck on a single map.
