I can now report that Player 2's side on Battleships is fully functional!
I will now start working on the targeting board on Player 1's side, and once that is done it will be playable.

Someone's taking the term "overCLOCKing" too literally.

i love the minecraft sounds. I've listened to that so many times already.

Here are some SS from the SMP server for those of you who haven't been on for a while. Will be good to catch up. There have been some great builds done since you were last on. oh and your house is on fire ;-)

I don't think they'd change the IP, just the hardware.

    Don't panic quite yet!

    VVV OK, panic!

Would it be a good idea to stick the creative IP on a hostname, so one person can update as necessary rather than having to distribute the IP to everyone involved? I realise this is only useful if the IP might change again after this coming change, but could make life simpler for all with relatively little effort?

New hardware in the servers? Excellent :D
On a related note Dragunov; I think allowing spawn access for all players was a bit ... hasty. At the very least I think access to certain items such as bedrock and tnt should be restricted.

Indeed. And when someone suddenly build a staircase out of tnt ... in close proximity to battleships no less ... it is a clear sign that in the end this will not be healthy.

Well, J, you're an admin with full access to everything, go ahead and start setting up item restrictions if you want :p

I don't think letting people spawn TNT would make anything worse, since we already give thousands of blocks of the stuff to anyone who asks. Hardly unobtainable.

Well, i like to handle the demolitions myself personally, but you get the point.

    Has anything bad happened yet?

Oh I know, I was just gathering consensus.
While I certainly know we hand out tnt like kiddy diddlers hand out candy at a playground, but at least we try to ascertain what the stuff will be used for. Building staircases ... and even houses ... out of it in close proximity to other structures however, is beyond what I would allow it for ;)

I haven't yet familiarized myself as well as I should with clanforge, but I suppose this will be the perfect oportunity to do so. I'll look into it tomorrow, because now I have to watch the final of Being Human. It seems clear that Mitchell will go...

i actually think the IP changing may be a good thing. it will purge those users why got the IP from a friend of a friend of a friend and only those who are active on the forums will get the new IP right away.

itll only be a matter of time until the new IP gets spread around, but its sort of a fresh start for our user base.
