It will use steamworks and VAC, as i understand it. The pre-order packs look interesting, however i'd probably buy one and then see everyone else running around with the same skins. The in-game customisation options look sufficient for me to create an individual character.
Aye, that's on the previous page. There are some interesting things in there. The one thing that really caught my eye, sadly not in a good way, was how busy the HUD was. Now, if that is at 1680x1050 res or whatever, maybe it won't be so massive at higher res, but I certainly hope that it is customisable. I've tried to get in contact and get an answer over it just using their twitter, but nothing so far.
Ah yes, sorry, just checked the post further up with the videos in. The resolution looks quite low on the gameplay segment (1280 x 720?) so hopefully the HUD won't be too intrusive.
That map looks really nice, I like the way they seem to be going for a colourful palette. just seen the release is a day after my final hand in! win!
Brink definitly has my interest due primarily to the multiplayer, which looks like a refreshing change to the FPS Multiplayer scene. Things could change though, I hope they don't botch it.
And lo-and-behold! It's coming out a week early and all! Happy days! http://www.splashdamage.com/content/breaking-brink-releasing-week-early Woohoo!
Oh sweet, comes out 2 days after my birthday and gives me 2 days to get some first impressions. I am interested in the game, looks interesting, I like the class customization. It kinda takes the tf2 feel with different classes and allows you to have more customization which I like. Graphics are nice looking, nothing too crazy but nothing too cartoony either.
I'll resist the pre order temptation but if it's any good, I'll definitely buy. Portal 2 => Brink => something else => BF3 The next few months should be awesome
System specs etc out today http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/...t-and-system-requirements-for-brink-revealed/ Am hoping the relatively beefy recommended specs point towards some decent graphical scaling options on the PC.
Could be related to OpenGL requirements? OpenGL 4.0 supported on the 400 & 500 series Nvidia cards and 5000 & 6000 series AMD cards introduced some enhancements which the game might use.
Some of the class abilities that they have displayed sound awesome. Out of curiosity, those getting this on release... who might be interested in a match?
Can put me down, but if 6 others want in then you can take me out, as i dont mind =) Will be pre-ordering closer to release date
