Hi guys as some of you know, my son-in-law broke the pins on my asus p8p67 evo motherboard, he has now paid up and im now asking you good people for some advice, as im doing my pc in a blue theme ie L.E.D fans etc, what motherboard can you recomend thanks guys...my budget is £170......is it worth waiting for the z68 boards take care all
ASUS has the best features and accessories for the price. For great service and best quality board, even the low end ones: Gigabyte. So it depends what you are looking more. I used to go with ASUS, now Gigabyte and can't even look back. The quality between high end ASUS and low end Gigabyte.. is far in between. Gigabyte wins big time.
I'd be happy with one that actually worked, two GA-H67N's have been DOA now. I came in here hoping for some suggestions about other ITX boards just in case there's another that would do Edit: wrote this before topic title changed, now it seems off topic
Gigabyte miss out on The UEFI though and generally don't overclock as easily, according to the reviews
Ive just heard that z68 boards will be out soon, is this true and if so is it worth holding out until there release date
Like any other brands, it depends on the model. UEFI is totally useless. It doesn't offer anything more than BIOS at this current stage, maybe later.. but not now.
Nee botha! Am skint at the mo but would be in same boat, just spending my mates money on his new rig!
Lol well at least your still spending, ive got most of my sandybridge rig together, just waiting on a motherboard and a graphic card, then im up and running
just created a new thread, id suggest if you can wait then wait as it seems z68 is not that far away now http://www.tcmagazine.com/tcm/news/hardware/37013/intel-z68-chipset-said-launch-may-8th
ok hawkest and ill get you a big watercooled rig if i win lol....cheers chrismarkham, ive decided to wait anyway lol, thanks mate
I dont get the point of Z68. The major limitation of P67 is the small number of PCIe lanes, yet Z68 doesnt appear to offer any more.
