This is my desktop, recently I've installed Netscape Navigator and bought a 14.4k modem, i'm really looking forward to navigating the world wide web!

 

Thanks for reminding me how much I don't miss those machines!

Omnia

Finally decided to give Rainmeter a crack after seeing some beautiful desktops in this thread.

I went with the "Omnia WP7 Theme" and everything on the right hand monitor is standard in the package (aside from some configuring to my needs)

The left hand monitor then looked horribly out of place and I couldn't find a decent looking dock to fit in with the WP7 theme so I modified some of the text skins included in the Omnia package to create the dock on the far left with i'm VERY happy with.

As for the Shutdown/Sleep/LogOut/Lock buttons they are completely my own Used the Rainmeter experience to try and finally get my head around using Photoshop and personally I'd call it a success. Even have them fully animated

If any one wants them then drop me a PM and i'll try to find somewhere to host them

I have to say that for someone who's using it for the first time, you've done a fantastic job with Rainmeter. I love the power dock buttons, would love to try them on my own desktop which I'm writing/configuring a Rainmeter setup for at the moment

I haven't figured out how to do an Android screen shot so here is whole picture.
What you can't see is the animated background. The leaves are floating an it makes ripples when you touch the screen. Like a pond. Fun.

The laptop has to have a conservative back ground as Im taking it with me to interviews to show off my CAD work etc.

 

Android screenshot requires you to root the device. Which isn't too hard. Just make sure you look up how to fix it if you brick it.

 

How did you add in you own clickable items down the left hand side?

Thanks you very much I am playing about with the power buttons at the moment so they can be a bit more universally used, as at the moment they are geared to work on my system only. As soon as that's done I'll drop you a PM with a link for them.

In the Omnia package there is a skin found under \Skins\WP7\TextItems\Extra\Menu\ that contains those clickable items in a group of 5. I simple copied and pasted that skins folder (renaming them menu1; menu2; menu3 etc.) and lined them up on the desktop. (I also reduced the last one down to a list of 4) then opened up the .ini file for each and stripped out everything that wasn't needed (the Omnia interface buttons when scrolled over for example). Finally I had some trouble directly linking to the "Computer" and "Network" links using the Rainmeter variable files so I made a .exe file using AutoIT to run the commands that open those windows instead.
