Game promo material is almost always done on consoles these days and we already know Skyrim will be multiplatform so there really isn't anything new in that.

If the hype is to be believed then it sounds like Skyrim will fix many of Oblivion's game-ruining flaws, but Bethesda's track record of gradually dumbing their RPGs down further with each new title and making terrible game design decisions that require community fixes to make the game playable; these issues make me dubious.

I'm prepared to be impressed though. I'd like to see something that surpasses Morrowind, this time.

That "preview" read like it was written by someone on marketing.

I really enjoyed Oblivion & must have clocked about 300-400hrs game-time (even more than with Morrowind).

All I ask is that the game isn't blighted by ruinous bugs & glitches in it's Release-build & that the voice-acting/facial animations show a little more ambition than in Oblivion (and to a lesser extent Fallout 3). I've heard allusion to both of these areas garnering more attention this time around & so I'm about as excited as a child on Christmas Eve!

If they deliver on their promises then this will be good. +1 to leveling system overhaul. definite weakness in oblivion and morrowind

I have high hopes for this game, but I dread a smelly console ported letdown.

Or possibly Alec really was impressed as much as he says he was?

OTOH, rarely does a developer promise a lot and deliver it all, so lets wait and see.

shaping up to be the best rpg ever, it sounds like bioware actually listened to feedback from the last few releases, and the trailer is nuts...!

With so much positive feedback on the new UI interface, you would half-expect an accompanying screenshot. I suppose it is embedded in the video, but streaming video and satellite internet don't work well together...

Console port or not if it can be modded to the extent that the recent Fallout and Oblivion games could be modded then it's got to be a solid contender for best thing ever.
